Are you fed up of unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls?

My wife and I have become very annoyed at the constant sales and marketing calls we have been getting lately. They seem to time the calls to perfection, exactly when we have finished our evening meal and put our daughter to bed.

However there is a solution to enable you to opt out of receiving unsolicited sales and marketing calls to your home or mobile telephone numbers.

All organisations (including charities, voluntary organisations and political parties) are legally required to stop making such calls to numbers registered on the TPS unless they have your consent.

Simply register and you will be sent an email to validate the request.

The Telephone Preference Service (TPS)

BT customers can also sign up to BT Privacy by calling 0800 121 8000 or registering online at http://www.bt.com/btprivacy. BT Privacy gives free caller display (normally £1.75 a month) to BT customers making calls on its network, allowing them to preview incoming calls numbers. It also registers BT customers with the Telephone Preference Service - thereby filtering out around 90% of unsolicited marketing calls.

I hope this proves helpful
